The talk by Dr Marilyn Crawshaw and Professor Ian Sinclair will begin at 2.30pm and is entitled  ‘Bringing Us Closer’ An account of our visit to Khwendo Kor in January 2017

In this presentation, Marilyn Crawshaw (Chair of FROK) and Ian Sinclair (Vice Chair of FROK) will bring alive their visit to Pakistan in January 2017 through discussion, photographs and videos. The trip was at the invitation of KK so that FROK could be involved in their Strategic Planning Workshop designed to set the direction of the organisation for 2017 to 2021. What could have been a dreary experience – as anyone involved in strategic planning events can testify! – turned out to be quite remarkable.  This presentation will document our experiences of working alongside KK staff in the workshop, learning about their work and the challenges that they face in more depth, and helping to shape their future visions. It will also include some footage of our brief post-workshop trip to Peshawar and visits to both the new HQ building (built in part with the support of FROK) and local projects.
